Adblock+ is an extremely powerful advertising blocker Chrome extension, which not only removes annoying ads from your screen, but also allows you to define exactly where the areas that you don’t want to see are. This means that you can (in effect) edit your favourite sites so that you only look at content.

Adblock is another ‘port’ of a Firefox plugin which is extremely popular – it has been downloaded more than 60,000,000 times from official Mozilla plugin store, and so it is really one of the ‘big boys’ when it comes to usability and utility.
Adblock+
There are two ways to disable adverts using Adblock plus:
Select areas
Using a keypress (ALT+B) or using their dropdown menu, you can select any area on a site – whether it is a banner or a whole sidebar. After you’ve clicked it, Adblock+ will make sure that your Chrome browser doens’t download it again.
You can, of course, unblock an area on the webpage by pressing a different keypress – (ALT+U).
Filter subscription
You can also ‘subscribe’ to a filter, which is a fully automatic list of advertisers (hosted on adblock’s own servers) which will block the majority of adverts automatically.
Both of these seem to be working well in the Developer version of Google Chrome, and when extensions are officially released we expect this extension to become very popular, very fast.
